Official Review

'The Imitation Game' is a well crafted historical thriller

Historical dramas are very common in the movie history, but historical thrillers are very less, and most of the times, we have seen these attempts going in vain. 'The Imitation Game' directed by Morten Tyldum falls in this category, and this time the film has hit the Bulls Eye. The movie which hit the screens on November 28, 2014 is recieving highly positive reviews from all corners, and it has succeeded to ring the money bells as well. As of now, the film has collected $ 75 million from the theaters.

The movie showcases the story of Cambridge mathematics alumnus Alan Turing who gets recruited by the British Intelligence Agency to crack the Nazi codes. Turing along with Joan Clarke decodes the messages, and emerges as heroes. But, later the law enforcing authorities accuses him as a gay and send him to prison.

The movie solely depends on the performance of Benedict Cumberbatch. The actor was convincing in the role of Alan Turing, and he carried the whole movie in his shoulders. Keira Knightley as Joan Clarke also put up a convincing performance.

Morten Tyldum's direction was flawless, and the narration was stupendous. He succeeded in creating a mood which is required for a history movie. Graham Moore's screenplay was engaging, and the audience will not feel bored even for a second.

Altogether, we can concludethat  'The Imitation Game' is such a movie which you should watch from theaters without fail.
